Beloit Loses Game 1
I thought I would break up postings tonight as there are a few things going on, and my life is more than a little hectic right now. The first game of the Midwest League Championship Series between Beloit and West Michigan just finished. Staff ace Alex Burnett went the whole game for the Snappers. In eight innings, he gave up four runs (3 earned) on five hits and two walks. Unfortunately, the Snappers managed just three runs and the team fell 4-3. Matt Betsill led the offense. He went 2-2 with two walks. Greg Yersich had another solid game going 2-4. Chris Parmelee and Danny Santiesteban each hit a double.
Game 2 is Wednesday night and it will be a battle of a couple of lefties. The Snappers will send 19 year old Tyler Robertson to the mound against 21 year old Duane Below of the Whitecaps.
Any thoughts on the Snappers or the Twins minor league system, please e-mail me or leave some Comments below.
