Minor League Update

Check out my thoughts on the Twins game and upcoming series with the Angels here. This is really just the minor league updates and then I'm getting some sleep tonight so that I can try to stay awake long enough to watch the Twins west coast game. Have yourself a great weekend!

Here are the game reports of the Twins and their minor league affiliates.

FT MYERS MEMOS

Thursday - Miracle 6, Brevard County 4 Jeff Manship improved to 6-3 with another solid performance. In seven innings, he gave up three runs on six hits. He walked none and struck out five. Kyle Aselton got two outs and gave up a run on a hit and a walk. Eddie Morlan recorded his 15th save by striking out three over the final four outs. It was a game of doubles for the Miracle. Steve Tolleson went 2-4 with his 17th and 18th doubles. Erik Lis (28), Dustin Martin (25) and Dwayne White (11) each hit a double too.

 

BELOIT BITS
Thursday - Snappers 3, Wisconsin 5 Eli Tintor led the offense with a 3-4 day. He also stole his seventh base. Steve Singleton went 2-5 with his second homer. Danny Santiesteban went 2-3. Cole DeVries had a rough outing. In six innings, he gave up five runs on seven hits (2 HR) and three walks. He struck out four. Jose Lugo and Anthony Slama each pitched a scoreless inning in relief. 

 

E-TWINS REPORT
Thursday - Game 1 - E-Twins 11, Johnson City 5 Deibinson Romero had another terrific game. He went 3-3 with his 10th double and 8th home run. Rene Leveret went 2-2 with two walks, his 8th and 9th doubles and four RBI. Ozzie Lewis was 2-4 with his 11th double. Greg Yersich went 2-4. Matt Lawman just went 2-4. Henry Reyes improved to 5-2 with a decent start (and run support). In five innings, he gave up three runs (2 earned) on five hits. He walked three and struck out ten. Dan Latham gave up two runs in the next two innings.

Thursday - Game 2 - E-Twins 6, Johnson City 7 Extra Frames in Game 2. Brad Tippett, who has been remarkable all season, blew the save in the 6th and then took the loss in the 9th. In his 3.2 innings, he gave up two runs on two hits and a walk. He struck out eight. Michael Rogers started and gave up two runs on three hits. He walked two and struck out five. Omar Alcala gave up three runs (2 earned) in just 1.1 innings. Estarlin De Los Santos went 2-3 with two walks, his 10th double and his 17th stolen base.       

 

GCL TWINS REPORT
Thursday - GCL Twins 4, GCL Pirates 5  Glen Perkins was back on the mound for another rehab start. The lefty went two shutout innings. He walked on and struck out two. Dan Berlind came in and finally had a bad outing to fall to 5-1. He gave up five runs on seven hits and a walk in 4.2 innings. He struck out four. Michael Mopas was perfect for 1.1 innings. Dominique Rodgers pitched a scoreless inning.
