Minor League Update
Hello, if you missed the Jason Kubel posting, click here. I posted that in the early evening, after I got home from work. The Twins game against the Royals this afternoon was postponed for good reason. I am happy to hear that the weekend games against the Cleveland Indians will not be affected at all. I know there are some that think it is too soon, but real life does have to start again at some point. How much time that is is obviously up for debate. But to bring it back to baseball... Michael Cuddyer should come off the Disabled List. The quest will be who will be sent to the minors. Is it Luis Rodriguez now that Nick Punto is the utility infielder? Will Ramon Ortiz be DFAd? It will be interesting although the logical choice is my man Luis(!).
Friday night - Johan Santana vs CC Sabathia! What a great matchup of lefty aces!
Saturday afternoon - Lefty Aaron Laffey making his big league debut against Twins youngster Matt Garza.
Sunday afternoon - Fausto Carmona will go against Scott Baker in a battle of young-ish pitchers who have come into their own this season after early career struggles.'
Monday night - Paul Byrd goes against Carlos Silva in a matchup of very hittable veterans who have somehow been league average.
Should be a very interesting, and obviously a very important, series for both teams.
Anyway, right now I am going to be posting the minor league game summaries for tonight. Thankfully (in terms of my sleep needs!) all of these games were done by about 9:00 p.m. tonight As always I welcome any of your questions. If you want, please feel free to ask any Twins, Twins minor leaguers or blogging-related questions by sending me an e-mail. Some questions, I may answer on the website, if you are ok with that.
