Baffling!
Wow!! This is one of the more crazy
trades I have seen. The Padres traded submarining reliever Cla Merideth for 31 year old utility
infielder (with 31 big league at bats) Oscar
Salazar!! This is seriously becoming a little annoying. Does Merideth really have that little value? Twins need a
reliever, don’t they? Twins sidewinder Pat
Neshek won’t be back until next year, right? Of
course, now the Orioles have three relief pitchers that the Twins should be
interested in. Merideth, Danny Baez and George Sherrill. The Twins must
have no interest in Merideth because they could have
matched the offer with guys like Matt Macri or Alejandro
Machado! They could have sent both and they could compete with Luis Rodriguez for playing time at 2B.
