Catching Up Again
Alright, taking a couple of
long weekends back-to-back makes for tough blogging! So again, here I am,
trying to catch up again after a four day weekend.
Probably the best way get back
into the blogging world after time off is to try to put together a podcast.
Last night at 9:00 p.m. was the SethSpeaks.net Weekly
Minnesota Twins Podcast, and it was a good show in my opinion. It was
exciting because the first guest of the show was the Twins first round draft
choice last month, Kyle Gibson. He
called in to the show about 9:05 and spent more than 15 minutes answering
questions. I feel bad, but the first questions were about his health. We
discussed his 2009 season at Missouri. We talked about him being drafted by the
Phillies in the 36th round in 2006 and the factors that went into
his decision to go to college. And then we discussed his thoughts on being
drafted by the Twins and some of the factors that will go into whether he signs
with the Twins. Really, I have to thank Kyle
Gibson because he did a great job. I had heard about his great character,
but it was certainly on display in the interview as he very thoughtfully
answered all of the questions. After talking some Twins minor league stuff, we
were joined by Joe Dexter of MotorCityBengals.com,
a Detroit Tigers blog. We talked about the Twins and the Tigers and the AL
Central as a whole.
