TWINS BEAT METS 5-3

TWINS MINOR LEAGUE REPORT

TWINS WIN AND QUESTIONS 4 U

Good morning! I'm kind of experiencing some blogging blues, so today will be quite short, just some updates on the Twins and the Twins minor league affiliates. I'm also asking you all to help me with some postings. I have given a bunch of Twins questions below and would love to hear your thoughts on them. I hope to get plenty of response so that you will help me write my postings for Monday. So, please help me!!! Thanks!

If you have any questions or comments on anything, please feel free to e-mail me. Have a great day!

TWINS BEAT METS 5-3

Johan Santana finally put together a good game. He went seven innings. He gave up six hits and one run. He walked none and struck out ten. He had shown flashes of brilliance at times this season, but has always seemed to have a bad inning. Last night, he allowed the bases with just one out. By what has happened to this point in the season, you would have expected a double to the gap, or even a home run. But not last night, he got Mike Cameron to do what Mike Cameron does best, strike out. JC Romero let things get shaky in the 8th, but Joe Nathan came in and got the final four outs for his 16th save of the year.

The Twins got an early lead when Luis Rivas singled in Joe Mauer. Later, Jacque Jones hit a big, 3-run homer to left field, dropped his bat and trotted around the bases with his immobile left arm. It was followed by a solo shot by Matthew LeCroy. Joe Mauer had two doubles in three at bats. The first was squirted off the end of the bat and landed on the left field line. The second was a legitimate double, a ground-rule double to left center. Luis Rivas was 2-3. Jones homer, his 11th, was his only hit. LeCroy's was his 5th.

Alright, because this is so short today, I am going to ask some quick Twins-related questions and I would love to hear your responses. I will post them again tomorrow, and on Monday, I will post your responses to them in a Mailbag.

Let's talk Twins. I want to give the readers the forum of this site on Monday, so please e-mail me and make your thoughts heard.
