Congrats to Slowey!
According to LaVelle and verified by Gardy in his postgame press conference, it will be Kevin Slowey who will be promoted and start on Friday night for the Twins against Oakland. I want to be the first to Congratulate Kevin and his entire family on this honor and this promotion (although I am sure there have been hundreds who have already congratulate him!). He is a great pitcher. He is throwing well. He is a great guy. He has been great to me and to us with his time. We certainly wish him well in his start on Friday night and hopefully in many, many more starts to come! Please take a minute or two and leave some Comments below with your thoughts on Slowey. For those interested in such things, and yes, LaVelle, I definitely am one of them... Brian Duensing has been promoted from New Britain to Rochester. Of course, being the Twins minor league junky that I am, I now am thinking that Ryan Mullins should move up to New Britain to replace Duensing. And, if Jeff Manship is truly just out for a few extra days, maybe he gets moved up to Ft. Myers. Or, for the time being, Alexander Smit could move back to the rotation.
