OK, after working way too hard on this site the last couple of days, I have made myself ill and excessively tired. So, I am going to post a few Twins notes and get your stats from the former Twins players that were not rained out. Then I'm going to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by downing a Guinness. Then I am actually going to get some sleep. So, today's entry will be fairly short. But to make up for that, be sure to stop by the site throughout the weekend as I will be posting thoughts as they come to me, or as I read different articles and think you might enjoy reading them.
I mentioned yesterday that the Perham Enterprise-Bulletin had a big article on me and this website. Here is that article. I think you will enjoy the read. I have heard that it looks really good in actual print, but unless you happen to pass through the Perham area, you're just going to have to get the online version! Thanks again to John George for the article!
TWINS NOTES
The Twins were supposed to play the Reds last night, but rain postponed many games throughout the Grapefruit League of Florida. So today, the Twins will play the Reds and the Orioles with split squads.
The Twins Geek is posting a multi-part interview with Jim Rantz, the Twins Director of Minor Leagues. He asked some interesting questions and Rantz answered very honestly.
According to minor league guru John Sickels, the Twins rank as having the 2nd best minor league organization in baseball, behind only the Dodgers.
Will Young continues to post his interviews from Ft. Myers with a chat with Bert Blyleven. Lots of fun questions with the comical one.
Andy at Twins Killings discusses the first Twins first round pick of 2004, SS Trevor Plouffe.
Lego-Vision is back!!! Batgirl illustrates very well the goings-on in the Congressional hearing on steroids! By the way, I am proud of Curt Schilling and Mark McGwire for bashing Jose Canseco. It was totally deserved! I hate talking/writing about the whole steroid issue. I have before but more than anything, it annoys me. It has very little to do with baseball, the game. Yes, I hope that there is a level playing field as a result of all this, but big picture, it doesn't affect how I feel about baseball!
By the way, be sure to check out the Batgirl site daily because she has been getting some incredible pictures of the players during their games! Also, great captions!
Another game of Pepper with Stick and Ball Guy. You will enjoy it!
