Disappointing!!
Just a
quick update... I saw at
mlb trade
rumors that Justin Morneau is saying that he has had no talks with the
Twins this offseason on a multi-year contract. He says he would sign it if it
makes sense for him. I would think that the Twins would want to do that too, if
it works for them. Now, I have been on the side of getting as much as we can for
Johan Santana. If waiting means that the Twins get some team to give into
their demands, great! However, can Bill Smith not multi-task? Can't they be
working on trying to trade Johan Santana AND be talking contract with the
likes of Justin Morneau and Michael Cuddyer and others? I realize
that the Twins generally don't sign players until later if they're under
contract, but seriously, multi-tasking is ok. If it's a priority, it should be
done. Maybe it isn't a priority. Any thoughts?
By the way, the vote over at
Twinkie Town is now looking for
the Twins #3
prospect after Anthony Swarzak and Tyler Robertson took
the top two spots.
